The Summit will be composed of two separate yet fundamentally interrelated programmatic elements, each having an educational and a social function.
An afternoon Revitalization Symposium exploring “been-there, done-that” best practices and how-to’s that can easily be applied when working to nurture active, highly energized, fully-functioning precinct organizational units well connected with its residents at the neighborhood and precinct levels.
An evening Stump- Speech Kick- Off and Social where symposium attendees and interested persons have an opportunity to meet, network with their political “soul mates”, and discuss “The Next-Step” for transforming precinct revitalization theory into practice, especially as we look towards the upcoming Caucus Season. Our very special key-note speaker is Jim Hightower. “National radio commentator, writer, public speaker, and author of Thieves In High Places: They’ve Stolen Our Country And It’s Time to Take It Back, Jim Hightower has spent three decades battling the Powers That Be on behalf of the Powers That Ought To Be - consumers, working families, environmentalists, small businesses, and just-plain-folks.” (http://www.jimhightower.com/.)
